Stock Market is Crashing

Stock Market is Crashing - What You Should Do

Welcome to financial crisis round 2... the stock market is crashing... the world economy is going to hell... what can you do to help yourself and your family? At the very least you really need to know exactly what is going on.

What is going on with the world economy and stock market crash would required a 5000 page book to explain - so let's just keep it simple and directly to the point. For many years now the Fed has been manipulating the stock market. It has been printing money - not only to bail out it's banks etc, but also to throw at the stock market by buying us futures which keeps the stock market rising.

We would have had a stock market crash again many months ago and the next financial crisis had the fed not been propping it up with it's futures buying. Anyone who studies the stock market in great detail will explain to you how they know this (it's a technical explanation). You might ask yourself "isn't this illegal?" or "they are not allowed to do that are they?" The answer is it is illegal and they are not allowed to do it. Why do you think they are fighting so hard to prevent the proposed "audit the fed"?

Finally we are at the point where they can no longer prop the market up by buying futures (another lengthy explanation of why), meaning the market is now free to do whatever it decides to do naturally. Now as you can see we are having a stock market crash, which should have happened a long time ago but was not able to due to the futures buying by the fed. This is now triggering the next financial crisis round 2. This should not surprise anyone due to the current state of the world economy, although many people are actually unaware of how bad things really are.

I took an interest in all this economic meltdown and world economy stuff quite some time ago, and while I could explain the whole situation in a lot more detail, the bottom line is this... we are in the midst of a stock market crash, the financial crisis round 2 is kicking in, and the world economy is very very sick. Now you can choose to do a couple of things here... ignore it and hope for the best (not recommended), you could read on so you at least know what is actually happening (an absolute must), or you can read on and take action to help you and your family survive the economic crisis which is going to affect you whether you like it or not(the best possible scenario).

Do not allow yourself or your family to suffer unnecessarily from the stock market crash or the economic crisis round 2. Make no mistake, the economic meltdown is here - the world economic is about as sick as a world economy can get. There are lots of people who claim to be experts, however in my experience there are very few who really know what they are talking about. Do yourself a favour RIGHT NOW before it is too late and at least learn what you can do to protect yourself. You will find a couple of excellent books worth their weight in gold at the moment given the current situation at http://www.financialcrisisround2.com. You need to get at least one of them and follow their advice to have a hope of surviving what is ahead. Don't ignore this warning or you will regret it. Go there now... http://www.financialcrisisround2.com

Dividends Still Don't Lie

Dividends Still Don't Lie: The Truth About Investing in Blue Chip Stocks and Winning in the Stock Market

Product Description
A timely follow-up to the bestselling classic Dividends Don't Lie
In 1988 Geraldine Weiss wrote the classic Dividends Don't Lie, which focused on the Dividend-Yield Theory as a method of producing consistent gains in the stock market. Today, the approach of using the dividend yield to identify values in blue chip stocks still outperforms most investment methods on a risk-adjusted basis.

Written by Kelley Wright, Managing Editor of Investment Quality Trends, with a new Foreword by Geraldine Weiss, this book teaches a value-based strategy to investing, one that uses a stock's dividend yield as the primary measure of value. Rather than emphasize the price cycles of a stock, the company's products, market strategy or other factors, this guide stresses dividend-yield patterns.

Details a straightforward system of investing in stick-to-quality blue-chip stocks with reliable dividend histories
Discusses how to buy and sell when dividend yields instruct you to do so
Investors looking for safety and transparency will quickly discover how dividends offer the yields they desire
With Dividends Still Don't Lie, you'll gain the confidence to make sophisticated stock market decisions and obtain solid value for your investment dollars.

Trading in the Zone

Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude (Hardcover)

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Douglas, president of the seminar firm Trading Behavior Dynamics, focuses on the psychology of successful traders. Instead of offering specific strategies, he advises readers, "The first step on the road...is to understand and completely accept the psychological realities of trading." It may be too abstract for some, but given trading's risks, this book could assist experienced investors willing to engage in self-reflection. (Jan.)
Copyright 2000 Reed Business Information, Inc.

Product Description
Maximizing the trader’s state of mind is the key to successful results. Conflicts, contradictions and paradoxes in thinking can spell disaster for even a highly motivated, astute and well grounded trader. Mark Douglas, a trader, personal trading coach, and industry consultant since 1982, sends the message that "thinking strategy" will profoundly influence a trader’s success rate. Douglas addresses five very specific issues to give traders the insight and understanding about themselves that will make them consistent winners in the market.

Trading In The Zone offers specific solutions to the “people factor” of commodity price movement. It uncovers the true culprit for lack of consistency when it comes to stock picking: lack of focus and self-confidence. Through simple exercises, traders will learn how to think in terms of probabilities, and adopt the specific beliefs necessary to developing a winner’s mindset. Along the way, they’ll gain valuable insights into their own entrenched misconceptions about the market.

Backed by compelling examples, Trading In The Zone adds a new dimension to getting an edge on the market. Through a better understanding of themselves, as well as of Wall Street’s realities, traders will come to leverage the power of their psyche for unprecedented profitability.

Common Sense Investing

The Little Book of Common Sense Investing:

Product Description

Investing is all about common sense. Owning a diversified portfolio of stocks and holding it for the long term is a winner’s game. Trying to beat the stock market is theoretically a zero-sum game (for every winner, there must be a loser), but after the substantial costs of investing are deducted, it becomes a loser’s game. Common sense tells us—and history confirms—that the simplest and most efficient investment strategy is to buy and hold all of the nation’s publicly held businesses at very low cost. The classic index fund that owns this market portfolio is the only investment that guarantees you with your fair share of stock market returns.

To learn how to make index investing work for you, there’s no better mentor than legendary mutual fund industry veteran John C. Bogle. Over the course of his long career, Bogle—founder of the Vanguard Group and creator of the world’s first index mutual fund—has relied primarily on index investing to help Vanguard’s clients build substantial wealth. Now, with The Little Book of Common Sense Investing, he wants to help you do the same.

Filled with in-depth insights and practical advice, The Little Book of Common Sense Investing will show you how to incorporate this proven investment strategy into your portfolio. It will also change the very way you think about investing. Successful investing is not easy. (It requires discipline and patience.) But it is simple. For it’s all about common sense.
With The Little Book of Common Sense Investing as your guide, you’ll discover how to make investing a winner’s game:
Why business reality—dividend yields and earnings growth—is more important than market expectations
How to overcome the powerful impact of investment costs, taxes, and inflation
How the magic of compounding returns is overwhelmed by the tyranny of compounding costs
What expert investors and brilliant academics—from Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham to Paul Samuelson and Burton Malkiel—have to say about index investing
And much more
You’ll also find warnings about investment fads and fashions, including the recent stampede into exchange traded funds and the rise of indexing gimmickry. The real formula for investment success is to own the entire market, while significantly minimizing the costs of financial intermediation. That’s what index investing is all about. And that’s what this book is all about.
JOHN C. BOGLE is founder of the Vanguard Group, Inc., and President of its Bogle Financial Markets Research Center. He created Vanguard in 1974 and served as chairman and chief executive officer until 1996 and senior chairman until 2000. In 1999, Fortune magazine named Mr. Bogle as one of the four "Investment Giants" of the twentieth century; in 2004, Time named him one of the world’s 100 most powerful and influential people, and Institutional Investor presented him with its Lifetime Achievement Award.

Wall Street (20th Anniversary Edition)

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Michael Douglas won an Oscar for perfectly embodying the Reagan-era credo that "greed is good." As a Donald Trump-like Wall Street raider aptly named Gordon Gecko (for his reptilian ability to attack corporate targets and swallow them whole), Douglas found a role tailor-made to his skill in portraying heartless men who've sacrificed humanity to power. He's a slick, seductive role model for the young ambitious Wall Street broker played by Charlie Sheen, who falls into Gecko's sphere of influence and instantly succumbs to the allure of risky deals and generous payoffs. With such perks as a high-rise apartment and women who love men for their money, Charlie's like a worm on Gecko's hook, blind to the corporate maneuvering that puts him at odds with his own father (played by Sheen's offscreen father, Martin). With his usual lack of subtlety, writer-director Oliver Stone drew from the brokering experience of his own father to tell this Faustian tale for the "me" decade, but the movie's sledgehammer style is undeniably effective. A cautionary warning that Stone delivers on highly entertaining terms, Wall Street grabs your attention while questioning the corrupted values of a system that worships profit at the cost of one's soul. --Jeff Shannon

Product Description

In this riveting, behind-the-scenes look at big business in the 1980's, an ambitious young broker (Charlie Sheen) is lured into the illegal, lucrative world of corporate espionage when he is seduced by the power, status and financial wizardry of Wall Street legend Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas). But he soon discovers that the pursuit of overnight riches comes at a price that's too high to pay.

Feb stock research -How Markets Fail

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Market disasters—and the cycle of delusions responsible—receive lively, engaging analysis by Cassidy (Dot.con), a journalist at the New Yorker. The author focuses primarily on the rise and fall of free market ideology and the mostly unrealistic ideal of a self-correcting marketplace. An excellent comprehensive history of the economic thought that led to this kind of utopian economics provides a refresher course in Adam Smith, Friedrich August von Hayek, Kenneth Arrow and Hyman Minsky. Both a narrative and a call to arms, the book provides an intellectual and historical context for the string of denial and bad decisions that led to the disastrous illusion of harmony, the lure of real estate and the Great Crunch of 2008. Using psychology and behavioral economics, Cassidy presents an excellent argument that the market is not in fact self-correcting, and that only a return to reality-based economics—and a reform-minded move to shove Wall Street in that direction—can pull us out of the mess in which we've found ourselves.
